On this episode we talked about how we all ended up in Hawaii and what brought us there. Then like any Squirrellymamas we ended up on the discussion about our choices at such a young age.
What would you say to your 21 year old self if you had the chance?
Looking back I am sure someone in their 50s told me to make better choices. I remember people saying:
Time to grow up and become responsible.
Take responsibility for your actions.
Be more aware with the choices you make and its outcomes.
Own your choices.
Pay more attention to the warning signs.
Look around and ask yourself is it your choice or are you doing it for someone else?
Gosh we can probably list another 50 other advice given by people older than us.
Looking back I guess now as I write this I would remind my 21 yr old self that this person who is providing you with a little wisdom was taken from their experience. Take a step back, pause, and really let it resonate with you.
Bottom line every choice you make should be for you. Of course you want to please everyone but if you think about it, it is impossible. Whatever choice you make go all in and do your best to embrace that choice. You are only 21 one time in your life, make the best of it, be careful and be smart because I promise you will be having this same conversation as the Squirrellymamas as you hit your 50s.
Live with no regrets.
Thank you for spending time with Doreen, Heidi, and Jill.
